Hey Rachel,
How did you start your career? You are a great person, you are my role model! By the way I love your song Long to Belong. I want to become an actress one day too! You are AWESOME!
Love, Andrea
Andrea Ayers - Decatur, Alabama | United States
Hi Andrea!
Thanks for saying that I'm a great person. It's very cool that you love Long to Belong. I wrote those words when I was dealing with classmates who were playing head games -- you know, mean girls. I think everyone has to deal with something like that in their life from time to time. Instead of crying or throwing things, like I really wanted to do, I wrote about it and we made it into a song. It's so incredible that you and others have written to say that you love Long to Belong. That's awesome!
I started my acting career by doing commercials and theatre when I lived in Ohio. I guess it really started when I was 2 when I lived in Georgia. My Mom took me to Hot Shot Kids (Joy Purvis), who brought me in for a commercial audition on tape. She stood me on a table and asked my mom to get me to show my personality -- to talk about myself. My Mom (as she tells me now) froze because she didn't think I would understand this request at the age of 2. My Mom said that I immediately broke out into a three-song set of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and the ABC song. I got a call back and didn't even know what that meant. The story goes on from there, but that's the very, very start.
I hope you go after all of your goals and dreams!
From the heart,
Rachel

Hi Zach,
Thank you for your wonderful compliments. I turned 13 in July. I'm a Leo. Being 13 is definitely different than being 12. It's tricky and I feel like everything is changing. My height is 5 feet 1 inch, and I weigh .... psych :). Thanks for Asking the Fox!

Hi Rachel! My name's Marcella, and I have been a fan of yours since you were on my favorite Disney show, That's So Raven! You are an amazing actress and singer, and you are great at everything you do!!! So, here's my questions. 1. I know you like the band Paramore, I do too, so, what's your favorite song by them? 2. What was it like in Paris when you went there on your birthday, and have you been to any other countries? And last, but not least, question 3. What is your favorite place to shop, not any big fashion stores like HM, or Chanel ( unless those are the only one's you do like), but smaller places, like Sears, or MAX, or places like that. (:
Lotsa love from Kentucky! You rock!

Hi Marcella,
Thank you for saying that I'm an amazing actress and singer. Your compliments mean so much and I appreciate your taking the time to write and share them.
Paramore is so amazing! I love Misery Business, Fences, and Decode. I really love all of their songs and think that Hayley Williams is such an amazing singer and performer. They're coming to LA soon and I'd love to go see them.
It was insanely perfect in Paris. It was so much more incredible than I can describe. The Champs-Elysees was bustling with excitement every day. The food was incredible, and it was cool because they bring food to the table much faster there than in the U.S. For me, that's a good thing because I love to eat! The Arc de Triomphe was so much fun to climb. There are several stairs inside that you take to the top. It's right in the middle of a circle and is very busy. Versailles was breathtaking, absolutely amazing and a place I triple-recommend to everyone. We also went to Monaco and to Italy. They were both incredible, too, but I better finish this Ask the Fox question before it becomes a book! I always say that I never met a store that I didn't love! Clothes shopping virtually everywhere is so much fun. Some of my favorites are Nordstroms, Old Navy, Tillys, Gillys, and Nordstroms Jr. But I could write a book about all the awesome stores... Thanks for your cool questions from Kentucky!

Rachel

Stephen Young - Mount Airy , North Carolina | United States
Hi Stephen,
Spork is scheduled to release sometime in 2010. I play a really mean middle school girl named Betsy Byotch. I lead a group of Byotches and it's funny and amusing and the film makes you question things and think. I'm not a thing like Betsy Byotch, but that's the fun of playing that character.
There are so many great actors in Spork, and it was so much fun to shoot it. There is a lot of great music and choreographed dances, but this film is not at all like High School Musical -- I loved High School Musical, but Spork is just very different.
Thank you for your very sweet compliments about my acting and singing. I appreciate them very much.

Hey Rachel,
i am such a huge fan and am addicted to your song " ishop" its great. I love watching you in desperate housewives especially in the episode where you pretend to jump of the roof infront of the twins lol. i was wondering if i could have you autograph ?
Best wishes, lv Lauren :D xLauren Fail - Blackpool, lancashire | England
Hi Lauren,
You are so sweet! iShop is such a fun song and the French version is also fun, once you get the hang of the words. You can see and hear the French version on YouTube....Here's the Link for the French version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMXdlblEljYThat episode from Desperate Housewives was so much fun to shoot. We shot it on Wisteria Lane in front of the Scavo house. Brent and Shane were so funny, as they usually are cutting up and very energetic. It was so fun to play such a mean character because in real life, I'm not evil like Kayla at all.
You can request an Autograph from my Contact page. Click on the "Contact" link at the top of any page and provide your address. We never share any information with anyone else ever, and your address is used only to mail you the requested autograph.
Thanks for Asking the Fox, Lauren. Cheery-o! From the heart,

Hi Tori!
You are so sweet for saying that I'm your favorite actress. I am so touched by that. It's awesome that your friends and you love iShop. It's a fun and happy song about ... shopping! I hope you all sing and dance along with the song and the YouTube video. I hope to see you dancing to iShop at a concert or event in the near future.
I recently shot my first feature film and it was an incredible experience. The film is called Spork so look for it releasing in early 2010. The plot is one that will make you think about important issues, but you will laugh and maybe sing and dance as well. It's a great film!
If you'd like to twitter or Facebook to communicate, you can go to RachelGFox. It's my user name for both twitter and facebook.
Thanks for Asking the Fox, Tori!

Hey Rachel! I got your autograph in the mail just a couple days ago! Thanks so much for sending it! I was wondering, who is MG, the person that's writing the music blog?
Beth Poon - Canada, ON | Canada
Hi Beth!
You are so welcome for the autograph.MG is ... well, it's not me because I'm not well aware of all of the music out there. There's so much and I spend more time playing then I do listening. I do love so many musicians, I'm just not as expert as others are about music.
MG is someone that I know that is a music hound. This person is so knowledgeable about music that I can ask him/her any question whatsoever about any song and he/she knows everything about it. The thing is that they don't want to share their identity, which is cool... just their expertise.
Feel free to ask MG a question on Ask the Fox, if you'd like and I'll pass it along.
Thanks for writing Beth!

Dear Maklonia,
I played soccer for my school when I was in 5th grade and I loved it! Soccer is such a fantastic sport because you run so much and start and stop and the skills that soccer players have, well, they're just amazing! I bet you are amazing at playing soccer as well.I would love to learn iShop in both Chinese and Japanese. I will work to see if I can have the song translated, but it may take some time.
We worked with a native French woman when we had iShop translated into French. She totally surprised us by, not only translating the song, but by making it rhyme! Isn't that incredible?
Maybe the students in your school could send me the translation (the words translated into Chinese) and if you do, I promise to go into a recording studio and will record iShop in Chinese. That will be such an amazing and beautiful song.
Thank you for Asking the Fox!

Abby:) Altrath - Pinnacle, Nc | USA
Hi Abby!
So glad you received my autographed photo. Hmmm... "Home Sweet Home." I'll definitely take a look at it. Some cover songs are easier to learn and others I keep working on and keep working on. I try not to do them before they're ready but live music is rarely perfect. It's what makes it kind of cool. Check out the Photo Gallery page on my website to see the other actors I've worked with and met at various events. My official twitter and official Facebook accounts are RachelGFox. My friend told me that there's a fake Facebook with the same name (RachelGFox). My Facebook photo is this photo with my 2 guitars and me. I haven't looked at the fake one but people who know me know my heart. They'll know which one is me.
Thanks for your sweet compliments, Abby! I'll be practicing Home Sweet Home.

Hey Rachel! I like to write my own songs, too. I have 7 of them now. I have a few questions for you. 1) How long have you been playing the guiater? 2) How do you find the time to sing, play guitar, do homework, AND play sports? lol and 3) Is there a chance that I can still go into a recording studio and record my song and then have someone create the music for me or would I have to have like music like on a piano or guitar? lol sorry if it's confusing. i would really like to become a singer/actress so your advice would mean the world to me. I've read other comments and you always give an excellent response. please respond to me as soon as you can! thanks XOXO
Niki Richards - Chicago, Illinois | United States
Hi Niki!
It's awesome that you write your own songs. It is not easy to do but it is good for the soul. I've been playing guitar for about a year. I love it so much. It is my 2nd passion after acting. When I go to the Guitar Center, I am in guitar heaven! I love every single guitar and can sit and play for hours. Finding time can be tricky because there are so many things to do! If I'm in the car for more than a 10-minute trip, my guitar comes with me and I play and sing and love it and don't mind the L.A. traffic. Playing sports is a high priority and tennis and dancing, then running are my 1, 2, and 3 choices. Finally homework... not a big fan of too much homework, but I love my school and the teachers are great. I go to bed kind of late because by the time everything is fit into the day, it's 11:30 or 12. I'll sleep more when I'm 95! For your question #3, find a recording studio near you and call and ask if they create music and explain that you already wrote the lyrics. They'll tell you their fee and if you think it's a fair fee, go ahead and go for it! You can always come up with the tune yourself, but that can be tricky. Another idea is to find a music school and look for people who might write the music but not charge you too much. The music business is so so tricky and complicated. Let me know if you have other questions and I'll do the best I can to answer them or I'll ask someone who can give more concrete answers to your specific questions. Keep going for it, Niki! I can't wait until you send me an mp3 of one of your beautiful songs.
From the heart,
Rachel
