Julia Louis-Dreyfus was funny as Elaine on Seinfeld. She is hysterically funny on her own show, The New Adventures of Old Christine. Working as ‘Gretchen’ on the set of Old Christine was so much fun, with a huge amount of laughter and constant lessons on perfect comedic timing and all things related to great comedy.

The cast of the show is led by Miss Julia and includes Wanda Sykes, Hamish Linklater, Tricia O’Kelley, Alex Kapp Horner, Clark Gregg, and 14 year old, Trevor Gagnon. Trevor plays Ritchie, Christine’s son, and Trevor is as incredibly nice as he is funny.

It was a great surprise when I learned that Marion Ross was working on this episode. It was an awe-inspiring and true pleasure to meet and talk with Miss Marion Ross. She is beautiful, focused, and an amazing actress. Her incredibly long list of credits include working 255 episodes on Happy Days and it is impossible to begin to touch on all that she’s accomplished in her amazing career. She does not seem to be the 80 years old that she is. She is so sweet and so motivating to me, and the live audience shouted with excitement when they saw her on the set. Other guest stars in the seventh episode of season five include Mary McDonough (Erin Walton of The Waltons), Stefanie Scott (Sons of Tucson), and Michael Spound (Hotel).

As always, I continue to enjoy every second that I am on the set and feel so fortunate to be able to do what I love and meet such amazing and talented actors and actresses. Enjoy the show!

From the heart,

Rachel
