On December 5, 2009, I attended Variety magazine's Power of Youth event along with many other celebrities and friends all banding together to make a difference. Power of Youth encourages young actors and artists to become involved with philanthropic and humanitarian causes, using their positions to motivate others to do the same. We, young actors and artists, are blessed with such gifts and along with those gifts comes responsibilities. Since we have the power and more than just the ability, we should go and help the children who are in need.

The event, now in its third year, is full of fun festivities and live performances. Guests include the children and families from Starlight and LA's BEST, as well as over 200 of our celebrity supporters. Starlight Children’s foundation has dedicated itself to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. LA's BEST is an after school education, enrichment and recreation program serving more than 28,000 children with the greatest needs and fewest resources throughout the City of Los Angeles.

Other celebrity guests include with AnnaLynne McCord (90210 and Fired Up), Jennifer Stone (Wizards of Waverly Place), Sydney Park (That's so Raven and Spork), Dylan and Cole Sprouse (Suite Life on Deck), Reed Alexander (iCarly), and Zane Huett (Desperate Housewives).
