Spork accepted to the London Film Festival

The British Film Institute recently announced the dates for the 54th annual London Film Festival, which is October 13 – October 28. I am thrilled to announce that Spork has been accepted to show at the London Film Festival…..yessssssss! The London Film Festival is the UK’s largest public film fest, screening 300 or so films from approximately 60 countries around the world.

Spork debuted at Tribeca Film Festival in April 2010 to these rave reviews:

Spork is like Glee, Step Up, and High School Musical with the sensibility of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”

New York Times, April 24, 2010

“Tribeca Film Festival 2010: Get Yourself to ‘Spork.’ One of the major highlights of this year’s fest is the teen comedy “Spork…” This movie is an enticing mix of smart camp and real feeling. Writer-director J.B. Ghuman Jr., I look forward to your next film.”

New York Post, April 26, 2010

Spork is named as one of “Five must-see festival films - Under-the-radar and worth watching.”

The Hollywood Reporter, Randee Dawn, April 20, 2010, 04:31 PM ET

Keep your eyes and ears out for Spork’s wide release. It’s so worth the wait because Spork is about accepting people for exactly who they are and loving yourself with all your quirks and imperfections. It gives hope and love, which is why I love the movie so much.

Watch for Spork…….

From the heart,

Rachel
